Jesse is a seasoned litigator with extensive experience in trial proceedings. He has a broad civil litigation practice with a focus on estates, real property, employment, personal injury, family, and commercial matters. Jesse acts for individual, corporate and institutional clients, and has represented clients in trials and appeals in all of the British Columbia courts, as well as in various tribunals.

Doug is an experienced solicitor, litigator and mediator, with a broad skillset in both corporate, commercial, foreclosure and family law matters. He has further credentials as a certified mediator and collaborative law lawyer.

His family law practice focuses on family mediation, alternative dispute resolution, separation, divorce, and wealth protection agreements. Having the benefit of representing clients both at the beginning and end of their relationships, Doug has the foresight and ability to advise on issues through a relationship's lifecycle and how to plan for the unexpected.

With respect to his corporate and commercial law practice, Doug focuses on commercial share and asset transactions, corporate reorganizations, and employment matters.

His mediation practice is diverse and spans between mediating contested estate matters, family law matters, and shareholder disputes.

Eva is an energetic and talented lawyer with a practice that focuses on corporate and commercial law, and wills and estates. Her clients span between individuals and corporations. Eva is acutely attuned to the needs of her clients, and has worked extensively with clients to find effective creative solutions.

Since her admission to the Bar in 2024, Eva has represented clients in various transactions in the commercial sector and has represented clients in both the BC Supreme Court and administrative tribunals.

Prior to shifting her focus to law, Eva worked in the medical device industry launching medical devices into numerous international markets. Giving her a unique knowledge of business, she uses these insights in her application of the law.

Eva graduated law school in 2023, where she was recognized for her academic achievements, such as being a Dean’s List recipient and awarded seven Dean’s Course Prizes for the highest standing in Property Law, Evidence Law, Civil Procedure, Basic Tax Law, Corporate Tax Law, Securities Law, and Municipal Law. In addition to her academic achievements, she was employed as a teaching assistant and research assistant during her time at law school.

Shailynn completed both her Bachelor of Arts and law degree at Thompson Rivers University. She began her legal career as a summer student at McEwan Law, where she gained hands-on experience over two summers. 

 

Shailynn is passionate about access to justice and is looking forward to serving clients in the Kootenays, where she was raised. She strives to solve her clients’ legal issues with a people-centred approach, by considering each client’s individual experiences, concerns, and goals.
